Ramiro Zandrino
Co-founder & CEO, Ucademy
During lockdown he started teaching maths on Twitch to save his brother’s Selectividad. The stream found an audience the industry had written off, so he built it a company. Ucademy is now Spain’s fastest-growing academy: on course for nine million euros, a hundred people, twelve markets, profitable the whole way while raising from Brighteye, Inveready and Sabadell.
Born in Argentina, raised in La Rioja. He wanted to be a footballer until the fractures said otherwise; the companies started at 21. Four ventures before Ucademy, two of them sold. Turned a lockdown livestream into a nine-million-euro company. Still answers his own phone.
